        Keep the future in mind. Will your family be growing, or will you soon be empty nesters? If your family grows can the home plan you choose accommodate an addition? Or, can the basement be finished? If so, are there legal sized bedroom windows in this area?

 

b) Determine the price range of the home you would like to purchase. You may not want to have the most expensive home in the area. This may help in gaining more equity at resale.

 

c) Determine the payment by using the “payment calculator”.

 

d) Have a general idea of how many years you plan on living in the home.
